About Dave Sawtell

My nickname is ‘Wheels’. While I was born in 1966 with Spina Bifida, I have never let this stop me in any way.

During my life, I have become known for my achievements in sport including:
. Four time Queensland long drive champion,
. Three time Australian long drive golf champion,
. Paralong Drive World Champion,
. Guinness World Record for seated longest shot from a chair – longest 143m flight only no roll; and
. Competition weightlifter with a best lift of 185 kilos – I did this for 11 years.

After the weightlifting, I completed a long distance paddle from Brisbane to the Gold Coast in 15 hours.

When I am not training, I also find time to teach disabled beginners and kids the art of golf. I am a level one community golf coach and my best hit is 244m!

Life coaching is something that I enjoy. I am also available for MC work, motivational speaking engagements, golf days, demonstration days and fundraiser and corporate events. I am a passionate motivational speaker with a desire to share my story and help others to get the best out of life. I undertake corporate dinner speeches, key note addresses, conference presentations and much more.
